I started with an octahedron object. Dome extruded four faces with some adjusting of the parameters. Doo sabin. Honeycomb. Then imported into 3ds max. Selected all edges and created shape from selection. Then gave that new object a radius and made it an editable poly so it would export. Then took the original object and smoothed it and scaled it down a bit and bridged a hole through the center. Imported into Blender to render it. Thank you so much for the kind comments.
